Camp Juliena is week long residential summer camp for youths and teens that are deaf or hard of hearing. Through challenging, team-oriented activities, campers form lasting friendships and acquire valuable leadership, team-building, social and communication skills. When and where does Camp Juliena take place?
There are two sessions of Camp Juliena, one for ages 6 through 12 and another for ages 13 through 17. Both sessions occur during the summer months and take place at different campgrounds throughout Georgia.
What kinds of activities do campers participate in?
There’s never a dull moment at Camp Juliena! That’s because we keep our campers busy with all types of fun-filled adventures designed to build confidence, trust and teamwork. Some of our featured activities include:

Who are the counselors?
With the exception of our Camp Youth Juliena junior staff members, all of our carefully selected counselors are 18 years of age or older. They are committed to helping campers discover their potential and learn new skills. Most importantly, they serve as positive role models who lead by example.
Junior Counselor Program
Teen Camp Juliena attendees who possess exceptional leadership and creative skills also have the chance to participate in our Youth Camp Juliena Junior Counselor Program. The program offers a wonderful opportunity for deaf and hard of hearing teenagers to share their knowledge and skills with younger campers. To apply, individuals must complete and submit an application form and questionnaire.
Is financial assistance available?
Most years we are able to offer financial support to qualified applicants. To apply, you must write a letter to the camp director explaining your need for financial assistance. Within a few weeks, you will receive a response a response from the director regarding your request.
