Looking for a job? GACHI’s Job-Seeking Skills Program can help!
From completing a job application to interviewing and negotiating your desired salary, GACHI’s Job-Seeking Skills Program can help you successfully join (or rejoin) the workforce. Offered at all five GACHI locations, the program also helps participants request needed accommodations from employers.
To participate in our Job-Seeking Skills Program, you must first obtain a referral from a certified Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. If you need help with this requirement, contact the GACHI office nearest you.
This program offers:
• Personal and social adjustment training – Learn appropriate personal and social behaviors and practices to increase your employment prospects. Covers interpersonal skills, communication, grooming and hygiene, legal affairs, problem solving and identifying your strengths and weaknesses.
• Job readiness – Understand your rights and responsibilities as an employee and learn strategies to ensure a smooth transition into the working world.
• Job coaching – Individual training on a variety of issues, including interviewing, networking and succeeding in your job.
