Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) Demo Rooms
The equipment listed below can be found in located in Decatur.

T-Switch or Telecoil:On hearing aid, it shuts out noise/annoying and interfering sounds. Can talk on the phone or through Assistive Listening Devices or system
Personal Amplifiers:Are "hard-wired" systems, and consist of a receiver/amplifier connected to a microphone by a wire. Ideal for one-on-one basis conversations when speaker and listener can be located near one another.
FM System: Consists of a transmitter, microphone and one or more receivers with earpieces. It is "wireless". Sound sent from a transmitter to receiver by radio waves. Does not require wiring between the sound (microphone) and receiver.
Pocketalker Pro:helps you hear virtually anywhere. *ideal in your car, at a noisy ball game, in a crowded restaurants and similar places *works with hearing aids to reduce background noise
Assistive Listening Devices:Various kinds of electronic equipment that enable the listener to *better understand conversation in the presence of background noise *be alerted to an important change in the environment, such as phone ringing, door bell, fire alarm, etc.
The Knock Sensor:unique monitoring system that will tell you when someone is knocking on your door. Installed directly on the inside of your door. Light will blink when someone knocks the door.
