A
tradition of dedication and service
Since it was established in 1989, the Georgia Council for the Hearing
Impaired (GACHI) has furthered one mission: to establish and maintain
a network of statewide services for the deaf, hard of hearing, late
deafened, deaf-blind and other individuals and groups with whom
we interact. To fulfill our mission, we rely on a combination of
funding sources, which includes state-appropriated funds (set by
the Georgia General Assembly) and generous grants and donations
from private foundations, businesses and individuals.
We continue to celebrate and support the core values upon which
we were founded:
respect
trustworthiness
loyalty
confidentiality
fairness
